How we write our guides

Each bug profile is built around the traits you can actually see without a microscope: legs, wings, color, size and where it turned up. We cross-check identification features and risk information against university extension services, public health agencies and entomology references.

What we don't do

We don't give medical advice or replace a licensed pest professional. When a bite, sting or infestation needs expert help, our guides say so clearly.
